Nadine Caban, trained at the Institute for Hoof Orthopedics in Germany, presents within this book a novel approach to solve hoof problems for the long term, an alternative to the existing conventional hoof trimming methods.

As a German Hoof Orthopedist, she has been working and teaching for nearly 20 years in Europe and now trains students in the United States. Over the years she has addressed hundreds of cases which inspired her to write this book to introduce Preventive Hoof Care abroad and spread knowledge on the topic.

This book does not offer any tips for hands-on training, as hoof treatment should be learned in a thorough education which is often the exact reason why many hooves suffer. Hoof physics is intended to inspire the reader, whether horse owner or professional, to take a closer look at the hoof shape of their horses and eventually question previous approaches.
