From Foal to the Novice Horse - Part 1

A healthy upbringing, responsible handling - these are the basic requirements when it comes to training and achieving a solid riding horse. The traditional training programme is followed consistently and to the letter. Even if the horses is being trained for competitive dressage, Klaus Balkenhol's Remonte horses are also ridden cross-country and over jumps. It takes about two years to create a Remonte. The basic rule; make demands on the horse, but never demand too much. The result: a strong horse with full trust in its rider.
