Badminton Horse Trials 2004

This was a tremendous competition with drama a plenty. Eighty competitiors, including strong representation from Australia and New Zealand, set out on the 4 days of dressage, cross country and show jumping, with 50 making it through to the final discipline. As this was Olympic year the steeplechase and cross country course had been slightly shortened but with the same number of jumping efforts. The weather did it's best to spoil things and created very testing ground conditions for cross country day with no one getting anywhere near the optimum time.
